Foundation courses in public speaking and persuasion, journalism, media and culture and oral interpretation provide the groundwork for advanced courses in writing for the media, feature writing, radio production, video production and new media.

Practical experience is gained by contributing to the online student newspaper, radio station and theatre productions and through internships. Internships provide on-the-job training and can be fulfilled locally or through an off-campus summer or semester-long program.
