UPDATE FROM THEA: "After graduating from Bluffton, I enrolled in Kent State's School
of Library and Information Science to pursue a master's degree. Now that I work in
a public library, I appreciate the skills I learned at Bluffton for public speaking
and interacting with people from all walks of life."

"The communication major at Bluffton was excellent preparation for graduate school
and for my appointment as associate professor at Messiah College. My experiences in
the communication program at Bluffton challenged me to know and articulate what I
believe, which is absolutely vital regardless of one's vocational choice."
Hannah E. Heinzekhr '07 of Claremont, Calif., is the convention planning coordinator for Mennonite Church USA. Her position involves event planning, promotion and developing social media strategies. Thanks to Bluffton's communication in church organizations program, Hannah feels "very well-equipped to communicate with congregations and other church members."
Chris Welch '11. of Wooster, Ohio, is an announcer and public service announcement (PSA) director at 104.5 FM WQKT/AM 960 WKVX Radio. Chris notes that his communication major and two years as station manager at WBWH "allowed me to gain hands-on experience performing tasks that are now an everyday part of my job."
Eli Passage '11. of Akron, Pa.; "After graduating from Bluffton University in 2011, I returned to my former high school to run their social media pages, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. I use many skills from my undergraduate studies in communication, from writing news leads to shooting and editing video footage to sharing my thoughts and ideas one on one or with multiple people in meetings. Bluffton University gave me a well-rounded skill set to succeed as a communication professional.
