HRM 140 Portfolio Development for Assessment of
Prior Learning
(2)
Because not all learning takes place in
the college classroom, students may earn college credit for
professional and technical training associated with their
employment and learning associated with work, home, community
and other environments. This course teaches students to: 1)
identify those areas that warrant college credit; 2) write
life-learning essays that articulate prior learning; and 3)
gather appropriate documentation to support the petition for
college credit. A maximum of 18 semester hours can be earned
through the portfolio.
