Women's Council

The Bluffton University Women's Council began in 1941.  The purpose of the council was to stimulate interest in the Bluffton College program and to provide funds for purchasing needed equipment for the college.  Today, the council has a special interest in supporting female students in learning about their chosen vocation. Each year the Bluffton University Women's Council awards grants to female students who wish to attend a national conference of professionals in their chosen career.  In the past five years, the Women's Council has helped 50 female students enrich their undergraduate experience with opportunities for professional growth.

Pictured here seated in front of Women's Council members are three students who had just returned from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2014 Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo in Atlanta.  "I was excited about connecting with members of the two dietetic practice groups and on member interest group of which I am a student member."   - Student Aimee Lugibihl '15

Members of the council are alumnae and friends of the university. If you are interested in serving the university by being a member of Women s Council or involved in a project, please contact Julia Szabo, director of alumni engagement, at 419-358-3245 or szaboj@bluffton.edu
