Attending May Day?

Judy Stutzman Kanagy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; I am working for Colorado College as the alumni relations coordinator. After having worked the past eight years in gifts processing and database management, this is a recent switch that allows me to use a skill set that hasn't been tapped in a while. Chuck and I still have Kanagy Lawnscapes, and he runs the landscaping, irrigation, snow removal business during the day and I do the office work at night and on weekends. Our oldest daughter, Claire, graduated from Adams State University in 2013 (biology/wildlife management) and is back in school in Denver to earn a veterinary technician degree. Our younger daughter, Fay, completed her freshman year at Western Oregon University and will start an audio engineering program at the Los Angeles Recording School in April 2016.

Paul neufeld weaver: I continue to teach education, Spanish and cultural studies at Bluffton University. Over the past nine months I have been living in Guatemala with my wife Laurel and 14-year-old daughter Ana. In the fall we accompanied a group of seven Bluffton students for a semester-long cross-cultural experience here. This semester I am on sabbatical, teaching at SEMILLA, the Latin American Anabaptist Seminary, studying the Maya-Q'eqchi' language and researching indigenous cultural resilience in Guatemala through the lens of bilingual education.

Cheryl Hacker, Columbus, Ohio; I serve as the general counsel (lawyer) for Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, which involves a weekly commute from Columbus, which I've done since July 2010. Shawnee State is a public university that primarily serves the Appalachian region of south central Ohio. One of my outlets is historic preservation. I currently serve on the architectural review committee for the historic cottage community in Oak Bluffs, Mass., where my husband, Jeff Ferriell, and I have our summer cottage. Last summer I had the honor of being appointed to the Bluffton Board of Trustees as one of the alumni representatives.

June Yoder Rodriguez, Desert Hills, Arizona; I work as a coordinator for ESL student services at several schools in a large public school district in northern Phoenix. This May, 35 years after my own graduation from Bluffton, I will be returning to watch my own daughter graduate from the university.

  Yes
Bob Wilds, Ironton, Ohio; I continue to work for the Lawrence County Educational Service Center as the Director of the Lawrence County Academy. The academy is a blended learning community school that provides a pathway to a high school diploma for at risk high school students or those who schedules do not allow attendance at a traditional public school. I will be returning to Bluffton to watch my oldest son Shayne graduate from Bluffton University. Then again next year to see the youngest son Trey graduate.    Yes
