Commencement Weekend
The class of 2013 will celebrate
baccalaureate and commencement
on May 5.
Baccalaureate will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 5, in Sommer Center. It will feature speakers from the class of 2013 and faculty. No tickets are required for this event. (NOTE: the location is Sommer Center, a change from information provided in the parent's invitation.)
Following the baccalaureate service a complimentary meal will be served to graduates
and their families in The Commons at Marbeck Center.
Commencement begins at 2 p.m. in Salzman Stadium, weather permitting. In the event of inclement
weather, commencement will be held in
Sommer Center. In the event that commencement is held indoors, each graduate will
be given a limited number of complimentary tickets to share with family and friends.
Overflow seating will be available in Burcky Gymnasium with viewing via closed circuit
television.
Seating for guests unable to manage stadium steps is limited. Email boxoffice@bluffton.edu to request special needs seating.

May Day, Saturday, May 4
May Day is a celebration of Bluffton's past, present and future. Graduates from the
traditional undergraduate program are honored at the May Day ceremony in the morning.
Following the 11 a.m. May Day ceremony, a picnic is available for graduates and their
parents. Students with a meal plan can use their student I. D. card to pay for the
meal. Families may purchase tickets through the campus box office, boxoffice@bluffton.edu or 419-358-3239. Orders should be received by April 24. Price is $7 adult and $4

May Day

At Bluffton the May Day celebration represents the end of a school year for students, the beginning of a new chapter for seniors and the remembrance of times past for alumni. The tradition weaves together past, present and future around the May Pole in a never-ending circle. >>> more
Commencement

Bluffton professor emeritus J. Denny Weaver will present the commencement address. Dr. Weaver taught in the religion department from 1975-2006 and served as faculty athletics representative for many years.
