Each year the Bluffton University Alumni Association honors alumni who have made significant contributions with their lives and in their vocations.

2013 Alumni Award recipients
  • Lenna Mae Gara '49 will receive the Lifetime Service Award, which honors alumni who have dedicated their lives to heartfelt service to people, community or church.
  • Jack Earl '56 will receive the Professional Achievement Award for having achieved notable success and recognition in her career.
  • Angong Acuil '05 will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, presented to a graduate from the past 10 years who is distinguished through professional achievement or service.
  • Ronald l. Friesen will receive the Faculty/Staff Service Award, presented to a former Bluffton professor or staff person who has fostered a spirit of community through personal relationships with others.
