Family Day Schedule

Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008
8:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.- Registration in Marbeck Center Kiva
Stop at the registration table to register your presence at Family Day 2007. Families who register will receive a 25% discount coupon on clothing in the Bluffton University bookstore.

9 – 10 a.m. - Soccer players of all ages, members of the Bluffton University soccer teams and coaching staff will be sponsoring a clinic for those who have a passion for soccer.  Instruction will be given while competing in soccer related games and activities.  If you plan to attend, please contact coach Smucker at smuckers@bluffton.edu to reserve a place for you or your kids.

9 a.m. – 1 p.m. - Mathematics competition for high school siblings
The Bluffton University mathematics department is sponsoring a mathematics competition for high school students. Cash prizes will be awarded and Bluffton University scholarships offered!! Registration is free, and includes lunch. For more information, visit the math contest page.

10 a.m. - Take your pick!

  • Visit the Swinging Bridge Nature Preserve  
  • View the art exhibit in Sauder Visual Arts Center
  • Tour the village of Bluffton. It has many unique shops. (Pick up a business directory at the registration table.)
  • Attend the movie at the Shannon Theatre on Main Street Bluffton. Purchase tickets for $1 at the Family Day registration table in Marbeck Center
  • Visit Suter's corn maze, www.suterproduce.com (owned and operated by Bluffton University alumni, Jerry, Nancy and Tom Suter)

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Lunch in Marbeck Center

Afternoon Events:
Soccer, soccer, soccer...
Support Bluffton University soccer teams, Bluffton Beavers vs. Transylvania Pioneers
12 noon - Women's game
2 p.m. - Men's game

5 – 6 p.m. -  Dinner in the Marbeck Center

7:30 p.m. - Fall Instrumental Concert in Yoder Recital Hall. A free will offering will be taken. General admission seating; plan to arrive early.

9 p.m.- midnight - Late night at Marbeck
Movie, arts and crafts, family games and more!

11 a.m. - Morning worship, Yoder Recital Hall
Sunday morning brunch in Marbeck Center will follow worship.
 
Meal plan:
We need a count for lunch and dinner. Please let us know if you will be joining us for these meals in Marbeck Center. Lunch and dinner will be paid for at the door. You can use your student's Beaver Bucks or meal plan to pay for your meals.
