The class of 2008 will celebrate
baccalaureate and commencement services
on May 4.
The 2008 Bluffton University baccalaureate will be held in Founders Hall on Sunday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m. It will feature three speakers selected by the traditional undergraduate class; two classmates and one member of the faculty/staff. No tickets are required for this event. Following the baccalaureate ceremony a complimentary meal will be served to graduates and their families in The Commons of Marbeck Center.
Commencement begins at 2 p.m. and is held in Salzman Stadium, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be held in Founders Hall. Overflow seating will be available in Burcky Gymnasium with viewing via closed circuit television. Each graduate will be given a limited number of complimentary tickets for Founders Hall to share with family and friends.
USA FOTO will provide commencement photographic service for each graduate. They will photograph each graduate as they receive their degree. A mini-proof will be sent to your home address within 2-3 weeks of graduation. Online ordering is also available at www.usafoto.com. Select the Online Order Center link, click on your event and enter your graduate's last name. The password is grd08. All photos are 100 percent money-back guaranteed and will be received within 30 days of the order deadline date, if we received your order by that date. Late orders will require additional time to process.
Graduation announcements are available through the Bluffton University bookstore. The order form is available online and will also be sent to traditional graduating seniors via campus mail.
Seating for guests unable to manage stadium steps is limited. Email boxoffice@bluffton.edu to request special needs seating.
May Day, Saturday, May 3
May Day is a celebration of Bluffton's past, present and future. Graduates from the traditional undergraduate program are honored at the May Day ceremony in the morning. All graduating students are invited to the Graduate, Alumni and Friends banquet in the evening. Following the 11 a.m. May Day ceremony, a picnic is available for graduates and their parents. Students with a meal plan can use their student I. D. card to pay for the meal. Families can purchase tickets through the campus box office, boxoffice@bluffton.edu or 419-358-3239. Orders should be received by April 23. Price is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 3-7.
