|Mike Leimeister scored a career-high 30 points on Saturday and has been named the HCAC Player of the Week.|
Bluffton College junior Mike Leimeister (Milan/Edison H.S.) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball for his efforts in Bluffton's 85-65 win at Denison University on Saturday.
Leimeister scored a career-high 30 points as he connected on 12 of 15 field goal attempts (80%) and hit six of seven free throw attempts in just 25 minutes of action. He also added five rebounds and two steals as BC won their only game of the week.
Leimeister, a 6-3 forward/center, is averaging 14.2 points per game and five rebounds per game in Bluffton's first eight contests. The Beavers are currently 3-5 overall and will play in the Heidelberg College Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament in Tiffin this weekend.
Leimeister's previous career high was 23 points against Concordia College on November 17 of this season in the Albion College Tip-Off Tournament.
