Entering his fifth season as a member of the Bluffton coaching staff, Tim Stried coaches the wide receivers. The BC aerial attack has ranked among the conference leaders in three of the last four seasons and has featured record-setting receivers Eric Metz '00 and All-HCAC selection Jon Spradling '02 last season.
Stried spent four seasons in the BC offense as a quarterback from 1994-97 before graduating with a degree in computer science and secondary education. His senior season he fashioned a 108.74 efficiency rating and his single-game rating of 148.6 against Mount St. Joseph in 1997 is the ninth best in Salzman Stadium history.
Also a former BC baseball player, Stried is now in his fourth year as the sports information director at Bluffton and serves on the College Sports Information Directors of America national publications committee. He coordinates a large staff of student workers and is adviser to Bluffton's sport management club. He lives in Bluffton.
