Bluffton sets Salzman Stadium football attendance record in 2000

November 29, 2000

A new Salzman Stadium record was set during the 2000 season as 13,903 fans came out for the Beaver's six home games. BC averaged 2,317 fans per home game, which is also a new Salzman Stadium Record.

The home of the Beavers since 1993, the 2000 season's attendance mark broke the old record of 11,209 set last season. Both squads finished 7-3 overall. Six home games helped Bluffton set the record this season, although six home games during the 1996 season, which saw BC finish 2-8, only drew 6,212 fans. Bluffton's inaugural season in Salzman Stadium drew 10,678 fans for five home games, which stood as the record until last season.

In addition, the 3,750 fans that attended the Bluffton-Defiance game in Defiance on November 11 marked the highest attended game for Bluffton since BC traveled to Wittenberg for its season-opener on September 6, 1997, when 4,222 fans were in attendance.
