Grandey selected to NCAA National Committee

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University Head Baseball Coach James Grandey has been selected to be a member of the NCAA Division III Baseball National Committee. As a committee member, his duties will include facilitating weekly regional ranking calls to determine the top teams in the Mideast Region.
He will also serve on the selection committee for the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. Coach Grandey will be the NCAA representative at the Mideast regional in May, where he will be responsible for the management and administration of the entire regional tournament. He will then represent the Mideast region at the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Bluffton crossed the 20-win barrier with a 21-18 mark for the most victories in school history following a season that saw the Beavers complete their first-ever sweep of Mount St. Joseph and win their first Heartland Conference series with Rose-Hulman since the Engineers joined the HCAC in 2006-07. The Beavers just missed out on their first-ever trip to the Heartland Conference tournament while earning series victories over four HCAC teams in 2013.
