Typically two performances are staged annually, a drama or comedy production in the fall, and a musical in the spring on May Day/graduation weekend.

May Day Musical 2014

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying

May 1, 2, and 3, 2014
7:30 p.m.
Founders Hall, Bluffton University

Book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert
Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser
Based on How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying by Shepherd Mead

In this 1962 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy, ambitious young J. Pierrepont Finch makes his way from lowly window washer to corporate executive by consulting the handbook How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Through infectious music and clever dialogue, the musical satirizes nepotism, yes-men, gender stereotypes in the workplace and power-hungry corporate climbers. But never fear – love will win the day!
