Artist Series

The Bluffton Artist Series brings to the campus each year a number of outstanding concert artists and ensemble groups. Season tickets are available Aug. 1 by contacting the university box office at dillerj@bluffton.edu. The following events are scheduled for the 2007-08 academic year:

2007-08 Artist Series

Sept. 6, 2007 - Chapter 6, vocal ensemble

  • high energy performances offer an a cappella, comedy-infused, blend of pop, jazz, gospel and rock

Oct. 11, 2007 - Tommy Dorsey Orchestra

  • orchestra seeks to retain the authentic sound of the late Tommy Dorsey and the Big Band Era

Nov. 8, 2007 - Paul: A Musical Journey

  • musical delivers a story of transformation, reconciliation and hope

Jan. 17, 2008 - Ron Warren and Janice Torres, Native American flute with vocalist

  • Bluffton alumnus shares compositions and arrangements of Native American flute music

Feb. 21, 2008 - Jie Chen, pianist

  • Due to an unexpected situation, the previously scheduled artist is unable to perform on Feb. 21.  Pianist Jie Chen will perform in his place.

March 13, 2008 - Phoenix Piano Quartet

  • quartet includes piano, violin, viola and cello

Season ticket prices are $70 for adults, $60 for senior citizens and students. A family pass is available for $45 with purchase of an adult season ticket, and admits all children in the family, ages 6-18.
Individual event prices are $22 for adults, $16 for senior citizens and students, $12 for Bluffton faculty/staff, no charge for Bluffton students.
