Sue White

Sue WhiteThe Bluffton spirit embraces people from all walks of life and respects the diversity they bring to our campus. I first felt this as an adult student returning to college here and am delighted that same spirit is still present in the everyday life of Bluffton. I love people, and the opportunity to serve has brought a great deal of happiness to my life.

I am a representative for the Master of Arts in Education degree program and Graduate Programs in Education. In October 2003, I joined the Adult and Graduate Education Department of Bluffton University. I work with licensed teachers from the surrounding school districts, who are interested in gaining a master’s degree or completing one of Bluffton’s graduate programs in education. Through academic advising, I help them choose the right path and concentration for their area of interest. I also assist teachers who are renewing their teaching licensure.

Before coming to Bluffton, I worked as the Public Affairs Manager for AOL Time Warner. I also served as the Human Resource Development and Training Manager for that same industry. I committed 17 years to those endeavors and among the subjects I learned (and taught) was the commitment to “customer and community service.” That commitment has helped me find my niche at this university.

My husband, Dave, and I have two children, five wonderful grandchildren and a sweet chocolate lab. We spend a lot of time at our lake house in Indiana and enjoy birds and nature. I also love reading, sewing and teaching piano.
