After working with traditional students for nine years, I have spent the past sixteen years as admissions coordinator/program representative working with nontraditional students in the Office of Adult and Graduate Education.
I am a program representative and academic advisor for the undergraduate accelerated degree completion programs, Bluffton Cohort-based Organizational Management Program (BCOMP) and Human Resource Management (HRM). I also represent our Graduate Programs in Business (GPB).
Often I have been told, “You really seem to enjoy your job!” What other occupation would introduce me to people from such a wide variety of occupations? I have met men and women from the state highway patrol, plant managers, bank employees and people in the health care industry, to name a few. My job has allowed me to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. It’s very rewarding to receive a call or e-mail from a graduate who just wanted to say hello and to update me on their latest promotion! I enjoy my job and I feel privileged to represent Bluffton University and to help students make the transition as they re-enter college.
My goal is to see all students who enroll in our Adult and Graduate Programs have a successful experience here at Bluffton University. I know we offer high academic integrity and I enjoy sharing our message to prospective students. I envision every student who enters one of our programs to have a successful academic experience and to walk across that stage on graduation day, receive his or her diploma and know they have accomplished a lifelong goal.
I live in Bluffton with my husband, Mike. We share a passion for music and recently Mike has been teaching me to play guitar. I also enjoy oil painting, bike riding and am an avid reader. My son and daughter-in-law live in Delphos along with my four grandchildren.
