How many hours are required for teacher licensure?
Teacher licensure requires students to complete 32-33 hours. Additional hours may be required in order to meet concentration area requirements.
How long does it take to complete the program?
Teacher licensure courses can be completed in four semesters. Additional course requirements within the concentration may extend the time requirement.
Does this program lead to teacher licensure?
Yes, this program leads to teacher licensure and it is approved by the Ohio Department of Education.
How often do classes meet?
Classes meet two-three times per week during the school year. During your initial advising session we will try to determine your immediate availability and structure courses during the first two semesters to address your needs.
What are application requirements?
Applicants are required to complete the application form ($25 application fee waived if you apply online). Applicants must also submit responses to three essay questions and provide us with official transcripts of your bachelor degree.

Is there financial aid available?
Yes, students in the Bluffton University post baccalaureate program are eligible to apply for the Federal Student Loan Program (Federal Direct Loan).
