Opening Convocation
This formal assembly marks the official opening of the academic year. New students are welcomed into the university community by faculty, staff and returning students. The featured speaker will be Julie Burstein, author of the first year students' summer reading, Spark: How Creativity Works.

New students are expected to be present for this important speech and returning students are encouraged to attend. Arts & Lecture credit will be offered for this event.
