Admission requirements

To be considered for regular admission to Bluffton University as an undergraduate student, you must have two of the following three:

  • Test scores: 19 ACT or 920 SAT (at this time we do not require the writing portion for either standardized test; SAT score is a combination of the critical reading and math sections)
  • Grade Point Average: 2.3 grade GPA (4.0 scale)
  • Class rank: top 50 percent of your class

Transfer students
Transfer students should have a minimum college grade point average of 2.0 to be considered for admission. Bluffton also has agreements with area two-year colleges that let you use your associate’s degree toward a baccalaureate degree in accounting, business administration, criminal justice, dietetics, social work, sociology and early childhood education. Please contact the admissions office for more information.

Melanie Lyle '09 Melanie Lyle '09 I like living on campus because of the atmosphere it creates. Bren Dell has become a home in which I have a huge family and support system that helps me on good days and bad. Lisa Pongtana '09 Lisa Pongtana '09 I have appreciated the help and guidance that the EBA department professors have offered me while I am here on campus. It has been extremely helpful for me to take advice from my professors who have experienced today's business world and now bring their expertise to the classroom.
