Post-Secondary Education Option

Each year, students from several area high schools, as well as several area homeschools, participate in Bluffton's post-secondary option (PSO) program. As a student in Bluffton's PSO program, you will have full access to the many resources that Bluffton has to offer, such as Musselman Library and the Technology Center. While participating in Bluffton's PSO program, you will study and learn with college students, learn from Bluffton professors, who are highly respected within their disciplines, and you will be able to form many lasting relationships with your fellow classmates and professors. Please feel free to talk with your guidance counselor about Bluffton's PSO program, or contact me with any questions that you may have.  I look forward to working with you through every stage of Bluffton's PSO program.

General information

Bluffton University provides an opportunity for Ohio high school students to enroll in university courses for high school and/or college credit. Please read this information carefully before submitting an application.

The intent of the program is to enrich the learning of high school students; it is not to replace courses offered at the high school level. In keeping with this intent, courses taken by the student should provide rigorous academic pursuits and provide wide options to the students.
Enrollment options
Students must indicate which option they wish to enroll in. Home-school students will enroll under Option A, unless registered as a Charter 08 school with the Ohio Department of Education.

OPTION A: Course(s) are taken for college credit only. Under Option A, the student is responsible for tuition, books and fees. Tuition for this program will be approximately one-third of the regular tuition.

OPTION B: Course(s) are taken for high school and college credit. Under Option B, tuition, fees and required books are covered at public expense.
