Presidential Scholarship

Win a full-tuition scholarship

The Bluffton University Presidential Scholarship Competition is designed to bring together students of the highest academic quality for the purpose of academic competition. Only the very best students will be invited to participate. Students will participate in a daylong scholarship competition on the Bluffton campus January 26, 2008.

Winners receive one of two
full-tuition scholarships,
each valued at more than $85,000 over four years.
  

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship Competition students must be seniors in high school, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have a composite score of at least 25 on the ACT or 1140 on the SAT. Additionally, students must apply for admission to Bluffton University and be accepted prior to January 18, 2008.

Winners of the Presidential Scholarships will be determined by an essay written during the scholarship competition, as well as by overall grade point average, standardized test scores and recommendation.

Awards
Two full-tuition scholarships will be awarded, valued at more than $85,000 each over four years. All eligible participants in the competition qualify for and will be awarded the Bluffton University Academic Honors or Academic Distinction Scholarship.

Application process
The application process must be completed by January 18, 2008, to be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship Competition. To be considered for admission students must submit the following:

Official high school transcript
Official guidance counselor recommendation
Official ACT or SAT score

It is important to note that you must register for the scholarship competition. You may do so by contacting our office or completeing the online registration form.
