Why I chose Bluffton University:
I was initially drawn to Bluffton because it was a Mennonite school, rooted in the Anabaptist tradition, which offered quality education. When I first visited as a prospective student, I was struck by the friendliness of the students, faculty and staff, and the sense of community on Bluffton's beautiful campus. It was also important to me that I would have the opportunity to study abroad for an entire semester during my college years, and therefore Bluffton's cross-cultural program in Northern Ireland drew me in! My reason for choosing Bluffton continued to grow throughout my years as a student as I formed meaningful friendships with others and as I was challenged to think in new ways both academically and spiritually. At Bluffton I was given space to explore the world and discern what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. I continue to choose Bluffton--now as an Admissions Counselor-- to help other students in the college decision process and to help them see the value of a Bluffton education.
