So, how much do you dread the inevitable questions that arise when talking with friends and family about life after high school? What are your plans? What are you going to major in?
Don’t fret; you are not alone. Many students start their college careers as undecided majors. And many of those who declare a major as first-year students will change their minds and their major at least once before graduating.
You are encouraged to take introductory courses that sound interesting – even if you don’t find your calling, the courses will count as electives. Make time to talk with Kathy Dickson in the Career Development Center. She can help you narrow your choices and discover that career where your interests meet the world's needs. Always remember that a major and a career are not one in the same. Waiting a year to declare your major can be a very wise decision.
