Join us as we induct the newest members of the Society and introduce our new officers at our annual dinner and business meeting.
This year's program will include presentations from two Bluffton University student scholars:
Teresa Hershberger is a senior religion major. With financial help from the Pi Delta Society fund, she attended the Society of Biblical Literature meetings in November. At the dinner she will speak about this experience.
Theresa is from Wooster, Ohio. During her time at Bluffton she has enjoyed being active in the honors program, the leadership development program, Kingdom Seekers, BASIC, and the chapel planning committee. In addition she has been a hall chaplain. Teresa will be volunteering with the Lutheran Volunteer Corp. next year.
Danielle Nuzum is a senior with majors in English and writing. She will speak to us about her departmental honors project in which she wrote a novella titled Dragonmarked.
Danielle is from Bluffton, Ohio. During her four years at Bluffton she's been part of the honors program. She is a tutor in the writing center and works in the admissions office. Following graduation Danielle hopes to do volunteer service, probably through AmeriCorps, for a few months. After completing her volunteer work, she wants to work as a manuscript editor for a publishing house for a few years. Eventually she hopes to write fiction as a career.
The program will conclude in time for guests to attend the May Day musical.
