QUALIFICATIONS:
Bluffton University seeks a Campus Ministries Intern to work under the supervision of the Campus Pastor in giving spiritual leadership to a variety of ministries and activities in the Religious Life department of the Student Life office. The successful candidate will have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for ministering among young adults. This internship would be an ideal way to test a person's calling and gifts for ministry in a college campus setting. A bachelor's degree is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the advisor to several student organizations in the religious life department, such as Diakonia (service club), Sunday morning worship, BASIC (small group ministry) and Spiritual Life Week. Coordinate special events such as Camp Day and Service Day. Assist with planning chapel services and occasionally serve as chapel speaker. Work with the Campus Pastor in discipling students and in attending to the spiritual needs and care of the campus community. Frequent evening and weekend hours required. The position would begin August 1, 2008 and would be a full-time, 10 month position.
