Faculty Position in Food and Nutrition

Full time, tenure track

 

QUALIFICATIONS
PhD (or ABD) in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field with demonstrated teaching experience in food and nutrition or dietetics courses. Registered Dietician with appropriate state licensure is required. Successful teaching experience, demonstrated ability for scholarly research, and an enthusiasm for working with undergraduate students are required. Experience with a Didactic Program in Dietetics is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach undergraduate courses in nutrition, lifecycle nutrition, food science, advanced nutrition, food service systems management, public health nutrition, and others which are part of the Food & Nutrition major. The major has three concentration areas: dietetics, wellness, and consumer sciences. Recruit and advise students and provide faculty leadership to the department student organization. Continue creative and scholarly development and demonstrate active involvement in professional organizations. Possibly teach interdisciplinary general education courses, science courses, or courses in other disciplines drawing on the candidate's strengths.

COMPENSATION
Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.

APPOINTMENT
Fall semester 2012.
