Financial aid
All financial aid is awarded through the financial aid office in Schultz Hall in Riley Court. The amount of financial assistance awarded each year depends upon the student’s continuing need for aid, the amount of funds available to Bluffton and the student’s maintaining satisfactory progress toward a degree as stated in the Catalog. Detailed information is available in the financial aid office. Deadlines: For the Ohio College Opportunity Grant, Ohio Instructional Grant and Bluffton University need-based grants, the deadline for filing the FAFSA is Oct. 1 of the current academic year.
For federal campus-based programs (Perkins loan and FSEOG), funds are limited and therefore available on a first-come, first-serve basis. May 1 is the priority deadline for these funds.
To receive a federal student/parent loan, the FAFSA must be received and the loan certified within the enrollment period to which the disbursement is to be applied.
On-campus jobs
There are a number of jobs on campus for students through the Learn and Earn Program. Students who wish to work on campus should contact the financial aid office. Work applications must be filed with this office for all campus jobs.
