Trammell Crow Center

Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill
1985

Distant view

This elegant 50-story skyscraper at the northeast side of downtown is clad in polished granite and smoky glass windows. It is capped by a glass pyramid and finally a slender needle. It is the sixth tallest building in Dallas.

Looking up

The plan is essentially a Greek cross with angular bay windows projecting from each end of the cross.

Plaza and sculpture garden

The intimate plaza is beautifully landscaped and includes a sculpture garden with bronze works by French sculptors. See sculpture at Trammell Crow Center.

A two story building north of the tower--a museum for the Crow Collection of Asian Art
