Parkside Elementary School

The Architects Collaborative (Norman Fletcher, principal architect)
1962

Planar walls and fenestration identify this building as International style; still, the barrel vaults--in the shelter for the school bus and echoed in the center where the cafeteria and gymnasium are located--are a surprise.

Other buildings by The Architects Collaborative on this site include: Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation Administration Building, Harvard Graduate Center, and John F. Kennedy Federal Office Building.
