A large river aquarium

The Aquarium promises to remain open for a few years yet and boasts of more than 300 species of animal life from the rivers of the world in 50 tanks. A tour consists of a visit to five of the world's great rivers--the Nile, the Amazon, the Mekong, the Darling, and the Ebro. The goal of the aquarium is to educate.

The entrance facade

Technically the back of the aquarium--but this facade faces the park area of the Expo

Pools of water are part of the design. See, for a similar example, Calatrava's City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
