Casa Molins

Fernando de Yarza
1902

Corner view

This large house has a facade on Corso Street (the most praised with its fluted columns on the ground floor) and a somewhat longer facade on Alfonso Street, this one with a 3-story oriel or mirador.

Like most modernista houses, window treatment here is a way to show off different decorative patterns. Each register is different.

An additional oriel on the side elevation

The top register with classical columns, eccentric floral capitals and a floral frieze

Delicate engaged columns flank each double window with carved leaf fronds flaring out at the top side. More vegetal carving appears on the lintel.
