San Martin's Bridge (Puente de San Martín)

finished early 14th century; defensive towers built in 13th and 16th centuries

This bridge linked the city of Toledo to the west. An earlier bridge was destroyed by flooding and it is thought that this rebuilt bridge was completed by the early 14th century. Defensive towers are at each end of the bridge.
