Antiga Casa Figueras

Antoni Ros i Güell and others
1902
Rambla 83

The original owner of this shop, Jaume Figueras, had it remodeled in the early twentieth century in the modernista style. According to Lluís Permanyer, Antoni Ros, a painter and decorator, assembled experts in various fields, including, sculpture, stained-glass, metalwork, mosaics, marble, carpentry, copper work, and even locksmithing (22). Faced with near-demolition, the building was restored in the 1980's and is currently a bakery and pastry shop.
