WPA project [The National Register of Historical Places says: "Architect, builder, or engineer: Wischmeyer & Arrasmith, Russell, J.F., & Co."]
1929-37




Although this Art Deco (or Art Moderne) building may have been designed earlier, much of the actual building was done as a WPA project. This airfield was the first in Louisville. Note the propeller relief plaques topping the pilasters (far right image below).
