The first monumental stairway

This complex of buildings built for William Randolph Hearst is located on the side of a hill in the Santa Lucia Mountains, with Casa Grande, the main building, at the summit with an unimpeded view. Stairways and terraces lead to the top.
 
 

The top of the stairs with views of the semi-circular colonnades on the short ends of the oval Neptune Pool.
