Palace of Versailles: Salon of War (Salon de la Guerre)

This stucco relief, with a larger than life depiction of an heroic Louis XIV, is the focal point of the Salon of War, an entry point for the Hall of Mirrors. The sculpture is set amid polychrome marbles and gilt bronze reliefs.
