Abbey Hotel

Albert Anis

300 21st Street

A corner entrance

While the sides of the hotel are plain, the corner entrance is more elaborate. A semi-circular eyebrow tops the windows, a carving of an alligator in relief occupies a position above the windows and tall concave columns, "crowned by flagstaffs erupting out of tulip finials" (Beaubien 123) flank the upper section of the corner tower.
