City Hall

Philip Johnson
1996

Front facade

Although much in this clean little Disney-designed town reminds of Pleasantville (the movie), this classical town hall seems strangely out of place. It's almost a throw back to Johnson's earliest architecture when his later post-modern exhuberance might have been more appropriate.

The preponderance of stick columns cluttering the porch seems like tinker-toy structure.
