Colorado National Bank (now US Bank Tower)

Minoru Yamasaki
1972

This elegant formalist skyscraper by the designer of the World Trade Center Towers has 26 stories with bronze windows and a superstructure of steel outside of the glass curtain wall. Clad now in light-colored granite, it was originally clad in marble--as was the penthouse at the top, cantilevered, and hiding the mechanical functions of the structure.
