Colorado State Capitol

Elijah E. Myers and Frank E. Edbrooke
1886-1900

A prominent site

This stately neo-classical building (the style of many capitol buildings incuding the United States Capitol) is located in a dramatic setting. The 24 karat gold leaf dome is a reminder of the Gold Rush days, a singular part of Colorado history.
