Hôtel Deprez-Vandervelde

The Palmerston Avenue facade This town house was commissioned by a wealthy industrialist, Georges Deprez, for a part-time residence. It actually has two facades, the one here facing Palmerston Avenue and one several rows below facing Bodougnot Street.
		An asymmetric facade Both this facade and the one below are asymmetric and generally more angular than curvilinear art nouveau structures. Still curving windows and entrances and organic stone carving show the style of Horta.
