This hotel's lobby is even more spectacular than Portman's Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, designed almost 20 year earlier.The central atrium here is 50 stories high. Metal balcony railings add a decorative quality. Portman's signature glass-walled "bubble" elevator can be seen at the top of the left photograph. |
